Everyone who has been bullied dreams of a way to get back at the bullies. That Hugo's shadow can do that is a great idea. I wonder why the shadow can suddenly communicate with Hugo when he first couldn't. I would love to find out what it means that this darkness, that is a bit scary to have around too, means for Hugo. Is it always nice to Hugo or does it have a mind of its own? Does is show up often? How has it changed Hugo?
Great work on the drawings. Doing drop shadows and cast shadows are hard.

Great work, Francisco! The reel looks gorgeous with all those beautiful drawings. Pacing is good and the characters are great.
Confusing for me were why the family seems to flee their home in such a hurry. Was it the lack of water or was that something that came later? The sword was confusing to me too. I understand that the father gets it from somewhere to save his wife. But not what it signifies (in the rest of the story). The moment where the mother is dead could use some more seconds, maybe a sad close up from father or son, while at the fountain: I didn't get it until a scene later. When the father dies too. That bit of drama would benefit with some deceleration.
But these are all small remarks for a job very well done. Congratulations!

Great work so far! The audio is fun already but the cats were hard to understand. I love that they have a meeting. I'm curious what happens next.

Grandfather Story Reel

I love how you added the scene in the hospital! The fact that he puts on the blazer of his grandfather later is such a great detail. And great that the mom has a bigger part in the story. The artwork is wonderful. Lovely ending.

The Prisoner's Cat

I love your story very much. Great how it has evolved. You've done a lot of drawing! The ending is lovely with the kintsugi (a great reminder not to feel broken)
The bits in the prison with the guards are well done too.
Suggestions: the flash back could have a more organic beginning and ending. The social worker gets a lot of screen time but I'm not sure why. She is very self obsessed, yes. But maybe if she talks less, it would make her seem less interested in him too.

Not all Shells sound like the Ocean

The ending feels really good. Nice work overall. My suggestion would be to make it a little more difficult for Naila to address the girls when they found the shell. That she really has to overcome her shyness.
