What If... Three Ideas by JC Holmes
I think your ideas are great, this first is my favorite. What's sort of unclear to me is if there is a conflict which arises from this decision, why not just hire someone else to clean up the mistake of hiring the first guy? It makes me wonder who the person is being hired, do you know their qualifications in the first place? Is it someone you know? How long have they been a fixer? What's the story of the company that provides this service?

What if... Jacob Cravens-Meza
I loved the second option. Is the old man carrying an old grudge, or has there been an ongoing conflict until the disappearance? Did the nemesis die, or is the disappearance something the old man is compelled to investigate? The art makes me think they were neighbors, what's unclear is if that was not the case, why was this nemesis so actively part of the old mans life?

what if...
I like the second option. The art style coupled with the premise suggests a sweet spot mix of fun and spooky, and genuinely terrifying, which is great for the mood of Halloween. What's unclear is how would whatever entity understand enough about Halloween to know to dress up, and how would that entity blend in, when everybody else is in costume. It makes me wonder if the entity is wearing a human costume that appears to be a generic human/ the human looking form of its true self, or if it's trying to look like a specific human that is a character in your story.

What if
My favorite was the second idea. What is unclear is how someone is able to breath on another planet, it makes me wonder if there are limitations as to which planets are actually visited in class, is the portal two ways, is there a sister school on another planet coming back and forth, does one kid venture off from the norm and go to a planet the class typically doesn't go to. I like the idea because the setting and the open ended nature of the premise leaves for a lot of room for conflict, adventure, and heart.

WHAT IF submission by Nazish Naqvi
My favorite idea is the first, it offers a promise of both an unexpected inciting incident, and a very active protagonist. The set up is unclear about the circumstances of the inciting incident. It makes me wonder if the 24 hours to live applies only to the protagonist, or is this a larger crisis effecting everybody on Earth, a smaller group of people, etc.
