Hey guys!

I LOVE this story! I think the relationship between Declan and Ryland is very well developed and I could feel that in the drawings and narration. I also feel like you guys gave them a very well developed history that helped with that emotional connection.

I would like to spend more time exploring Declans dilemma with the school party, perhaps having him torn and trying to do both until he realizes that he'd rather spend time with his brother.

Great job and I look forward to what's coming next!

Portals- Story Spine

Hey Dan!

I really like this idea, I think it's definitely unique and nova can get into some pretty fun schenanigas as she traverses the world via portal.

I'm not sure what you have in mind for the story but I think one way you can emphasize this moral is giving her "obstacles" in each part of the world that forces her to slow down. (Like a market in Cairo or beautiful field in the Netherlands.) Things that she learns she can appreciate if she would just wait for her right Portal to be fixed.

Hero Town Storyline

Great job this week! I think your story is really solid! I like how you established that part of what makes Renée a hero is that she takes action when no one else would.

One question I have is how she inspires those in her town to create change too? What does she do that makes others stand up and take action against injustice?

I love the style and design of your characters and world.

I am a little bit lost on the story, however. I think the pilgrim is an interesting idea, however I feel like they don't really connect to the story after their introduction. Perhaps Zala tries to chase after the thief and slowly realizes she fades away during the chase, revealing the mirage aspect? I think you're ideas are all really cool and I can't wait to see what you guys have in store!

Your drawings are all so full of life and energy, if felt like I was watching a professional animatic!

The story is also simple and clear, which I really like. The World you guys created drew me in and you made a clear goal and set of obstacles for Pedro.

I guess if there's any questions I have, where do the powers come from? Is it energy that Pedro and Papa have within them or is it a power bestowed? I'd love to see more of Lady Death in the future too!

Hey Guys!

Great work this week! I like the exploration of dreams as a representation of the subconscious. My question would be how does Lauren and her experiences set her apart so that her nightmares are the first time Enderr has ever faced anything like it?

Is she the only person in this world with trauma or is hers just so strong it overpowers the positive dreams Enderr creates? I think having a clear idea what this trauma is and stems from will really help with pushing the story forward.

Looking forward to what you guys come up with next!

Leo finds a Heart

I love this!!! The composition, use of light, line work, everything is amazing in this drawing! I like how, despite the heart being the focal point, it's not too hard to pick out where Leo is in the drawing. To be a little more critical however, I do think you guys could make the cave a little more clear. I am intrigued by the tubes connected to the heart, but I don't immediately read "cave" when viewing the drawing. Maybe zooming out a bit, adding some stalagmites and stalactites might help with creating the interior of the cave. Overall, great work, and I'm excited to see what you guys have in store for us!

I love this concept, guys! I like the use of light to (literally) shine focus on the boy. The use of color is also very well done, and gives the sense of night while also adding drama with the high contrast! If the ghost is part of your main focus, however, I would suggest making it clearer. It took me a second to find it and if I hadn't read the description, I probably wouldn't have known it was there. Perhaps making the door a more obvious piece of the drawing could help (maybe making it the brightest part of the drawing, so that way the eye is naturally drawn over there. Great work and I'm excited to see what's next!

Emily’s Antique Store or Ghost’s Community Hub?

Great work, Sam! I love the use of tone and light blurring to help differentiate the foreground from the background. If there's one thing I'd suggest, it's angling the camera at a different angle so that way the ghosts are lower in frame than the shop owner (or vice versa). That way, it looks like the owner is looking over her shop, or if she's lower in frame, it creates a sense of discovery that she can actually see ghosts now. Either way, I love the concept and I'm excited to see what's in store!

Character in their world

Hey Reece! This looks great! I love how you used color to make your character pop out in the the world. It's also very clear who this person is (musician) and what they are doing (playing the guitar). If you want to make your character pop even more, I'd suggest adding a little bit of light shading in the corners of the room, keeping the eye from looking over there. You did great this week! I'm excited to see what else is in store!

Beautiful drawings! I really love the use of color and light in the first one. The sunset gives off a somber tone, especially with the blues you threw in there. I also like how it looks like we are peering around the corner, making us feel like we are watching something private. I'm excited to see how you guys build this world of witches. If they have broomsticks what's the point of the train station? Where does it lead? Great work!!!

This is amazing work, guys! I love the line work and the tones. Despite having a lot going on, you managed to still keep the figures and the story clear. It definitely gives off an enticing but unsettling feel. I can't wait to see more of what you guys have in store for this story!

What If Teaser

I really liked the idea of dogs doing magic when humans aren't around. Is there any particular reason for that? Does the magic go away as soon as a human gets close by or do the dogs actively choose not to do magic around humans? Great ideas overall!

What If?

I love all of these ideas! I think the second one definitely has the potential to be a very fun set up. How would the cat go about protecting the shop? Would they be forced to exert more effort in order to scare the burglar off or would they be able to find clever ways to ensnare the burglar with the least amount of effort possible?

Cam and Gabriel's 3 What ifs

These are some amazing drawings! I think I really gravitated towards the first prompt. I really like the idea of shapeshifters banding together to protect nature. Would there be different roles for different types of shapeshifters? For example, do the ones that can shapeshift into larger animals be guards/warriors while the ones that can shapeshift into smaller ones act sort of like spies? OR do all shapeshifters have the ability to take on the form of any animal they choose?

What if..

Beautiful illustrations!!! I love all of these ideas, I think the potential for comedy and adventure in each of these concepts is amazing! As a fantasy fan, I love the idea of the reluctant weapon. Can the sword talk, or does it just get extremely heavy each time the wielder tries to use it? Would the wielder and the sword be able to come to an agreement so the sword becomes less reluctant? I'm just very curious to see how the story would end!

What if thoughts ... elements ...age

I really enjoyed these ideas! I especially gravitated towards the first What If. For me, I think that story would be a great way to explore the concept of inspiration in a very unique and visual manner. Would all things be able to provide ideas? Or are certain objects more capable of providing them than others?

WHAT IF... (Goofy King/Villain Love/Hero Not by Choice)

I'm really interested in the second What If...? I really like the potential of a "Romeo and Juliet"-style love story but within a world of superheroes. Would the superhero the villain falls in love with be new to the crime-fighting scene or is this a seasoned hero that the villain slowly falls for? In other words, I'm really interested to see what you have in mind for their origin/love story!
