Searching for Sunlight

Fun story! Love the aliens. Not a very happy ending, but not all stories have those! Good job

Lost in translation

I moved a lot as a kid, but not out of country! Learning a new culture of an area was difficult, but I never had to learn a new language. I can only imagine that struggle. The shell is a very cool element and metaphor! Love the drawings.

Worked Like a Dog - ACT 2

Relatable! Very clear dynamic. Similar to Shayleen, I also would like to know more about her stakes!

Wolf and Dragon- Act 1 & 2- Kayla Stith

I've said it before, but I love your art style! Very good presentation.

SMOKE ME

It's super interesting to make the main character a cigarette! Super well done with the boards! Story was very clear.

Act 2: Omen vs the Spirits

Awesome! I love a story with a black cat. I also wonder who the ghosts and spirits are!

Croxi - Act 1 and 2

Hi Belen!

We will be adding music in post production. We’re focusing solely on the boards at the moment.

ACT 1

Hi! Fun stuff. I'm curious to see where this goes! I'm wondering how you might visually show certain parts of her journey versus using words. For instance, she could be sitting in front of a computer with emails that are denying her a job. She could be standing proudly with her peers proudly, only for the audience to find her beginning to drudge along from failed interview to failed interview. Just some suggestions! Great job.

The Little Apprentice - Act One

So fun! I could follow along very easily. What I might play around with is the timing of the expressions. The beats feel very similar throughout the boards, and comedic timing can be gained through choosing to pause at some points as well as be quicker at others. Great story so far! Excited to see more.

Week 5, by Jiwoo :)

Great story! I love Stella's design as well. I'm wondering about the City of Lost & Found. Is this an established part of the world, as in is it common knowledge? My guess would be it is due to her seeming to know what it was. I'm curious if you might be able to introduce it somewhere within her childhood flashback.

Snowed In Act 1 (with subtitles)

Very fun story! I recently met up with my online DND party for the first time irl, so I totally feel the planning portion. I'm wondering how you might explore the visual storytelling a bit more! How might we see that Antalya is an overpreparer versus being told of it. They can check their calendar, we could see that they have their bags prepacked a month before, and we could see a bunch of notes everywhere about the trip to denote how important this is to them. Just a few ideas!

Bean. Act 1

I love the story so far! Very fantastic delivery on the VO. I wonder how you might visually explore some of these shots. For instance, camera angles can be played with a bit to give the audience some clues on how to feel! One suggestion I'd have is to have Bean looking at competing shop, and having the shop loom above her. Great stuff!

Croxi - Act 1

Hiya! Yes, we purposely chose not to do any VO, as we don’t plan to have any in the final execution. The fun part’s these questions are explored in the next acts of the film! Appreciate the feedback!

Two Witches and a Star

I love witches and magic! I'm curious about the world building. Is the star's glowing connected to them getting along? Is the star alive? Similar to Alia, I wonder what the stakes are for getting the star to glow. Overall, love this story and excited to see more.

ELIXIR - Story Spine

Love the artwork here! I'm wondering where the sword came from, and the history behind that. Is it a family heirloom?

Worked Like A Dog - Story Spine

Very Aggretsuko! I love the art style and the story; I've definitely been there in jobs I've worked. What I'm wondering about is the reasoning behind having humans and anthropomorphic animals within the same universe. I could definitely see it on a metaphor level (hence being worked like a dog), though it makes me wonder about why not lean into the animal metaphor and give them roles in the story that fit the species according to folklore/go against those roles for interesting storytelling. I'd also love to see more elaboration on what her job is now. Great stuff!

Borealis - Story Spine

Relatable. So relatable. I drink so much coffee. I love the art style as well and find it very fun to have a bear using coffee to stay awake. I'd like to know more about him and his friends and how they came to be close!

Wolf and Dragon Story Spine-Kayla Stith

I love this art style and story! I'm wondering how you're planning on going about showing the lost egg at the beginning, or if we are not to know that as an audience when watching the short. Both are interesting directions! Maybe there's a direction I didn't think of, though. I'm a sucker for dragons and wolves.

Grandfather Story Spine

I love the illustrations in this! The story is very emotional as well, as I try to spend time with my grandmother where I can and learn from her. Great work!

Ogorith's Unwanted Audience

I like that we are looking in! Are we the unwanted audience? I wonder if we could be a bit tighter on the view of the scene. Also, remember that every bit of space does not have to be filled! Put items down with a purpose. Great work

Hello

I love this little desk space! Work stations can tell so much about someone. This one is pretty tidy and has tools on it, so it might be about someone who fixes things? I’d love to see more elements of that explored visually without any written text!
