Back To The Roots

Nice and cohesive.

I was confused a little bit on what she was up against. She had a falling out with her former partner, then went back to rekindle what she had before (her music passion) and the other patron playing with her helped to reignite. But I'm confused maybe about why she's in that bar if it doesn't seem to help her find what she's looking for. Maybe she goes else where for inspiration first, then ultimately to the bar?
It has a clear path, just needs to be tighten up about 2/3 through, that's where it got a little muddy.

Legends of Surf

Thank you. I'm very appreciative that despite not getting to finish it fully, you were still able to get it. I understand it's not as clear for some as it's still obviously a work in progress, but you're spot on with what we're looking to have the story be.

Project Chet - The Old World

Very much enjoy the look of the robots and the world.
Not unclear, but a question would be who are the robots taking care of the world for if the Earth is abandoned? Still humans?
Make sure you define (best you can) the variety of robots and the purpose of them all in a world that is abandoned. Do obsolete get broken down or repurposed?

When inspiration hits again, Aria paints with music!

Like: The idea the music is painting the world.
Unclear: Is it only blue music notes that come out? Probably can see from previous weeks, but how/why does Aria have this power?
Suggestions: I would have more gray in the photo to and a more direct object be the point of the color change. I would also have the music notes be many colors and not just blue (but you probably only did that for the sketch).

Inflatable World

Like: Clever idea for a short. I think the art style is cohesive with the story too.
Unclear: Mostly since I can't zoom in on the picture more, but I think the left is the inflatable world.
Suggestion: Assuming inflatable (comfort) zone is on the left, I would have the character be there since I would think crossing the stream might be tough for someone inflatable since they would just drift out. I think you have the detail of a current, but I would make that as a danger as clear as the cacti.

Where Skelly lives

Like: Very cool sketch that very much builds the world of your description and story. It makes sense to have the cabinet if they don't need to sleep.
Unclear: Not too much, but just curious on what other world building elements (like being in a locker) will be added in the story.
Suggestions: None. Just to have solution for being a skeleton, like is food needed?

Week

A Surreal Cereal Meal

Like: It's clear in connecting with your other weeks the world, story and possibilities of this
Unclear: Just specific to the image since it's not video, I feel like the remote has moved up the energy already, but dad is still asleep. If the colors are on the gauge are all lit up should he be in the process of waking up?
Suggestion: Have the 2nd hand moving to the dial to wake up dad, or have dad be waking up as if the dial just got moved.

MR.BRAIN AND HEART'S WORLD

Like: The narrative is quite clear of what character lives in what world. I like on the Heart, the paintbrush in the front that jumps out after the character.
Unclear: Not that you can't watch something on your laptop if you love art, but I'm a little confused why Heart is watching something on the computer and not exploring the other interests of art or space (from the planets above).
Suggestion: I would not have the character be on the laptop (unless that is important for your narrative obviously. The laptop feels like something Mr. Brain would be more obsessed with. Also, I think you can define in the story, but I would want it to be clear why art is solely a Heart thing (the answer since unlikely to make as much money), since art is certainly a brain stimulating endeavour so I would think a Mr. Brain would also like it.

Mr. Charcoal in Recovery-land

The art style is very cool. The use of light as well, where you are drawn to the bright background, but then can trace back to the origin of the red frog to the right.
Nothing is confusion in the traditional sense, I'm just interested in what is going on. Intrigued with what this story could be about with all these seemingly different elements outside the cave. Is it all from the world as the frog sees it in the present or are these several scenes of the world he will see?
Suggestion: I like the use of light very much, but the upper left around the tree looks a little too blown out (bright).

A Music Festival;A Magical Pot;A Family of Trees

Food in the pot is probably my favorite.
Very interested in what stories the characters would learn from the past and how that shapes the story and/or characters.
Curious on if there is a cook book that goes with it? How do they know what to cook to get different stories.

WHAT IF submission by Nazish Naqvi

Favorite is probably the 24 hours to live.
I feel like there is a traditional version of the story where the person is regretful of the time spent (and finds out what is really important is not the wealth), so I would wonder how this would deviate or be more unexpected.
Nothing unclear, would just need to explain that no amount of money can get more than 24 hours.

What If....

I like the superheroes in horror movies.
Is it a satire/comedy? I think it would be successful along those lines.
Not unclear, but it would be good to define if the superhero rewrites the horror movies (halloween, jason, etc.) or if they are off of new horror stories that just feature a superhero.

What if? Dentist / Afterdeath / dog and wolves???

The dentist idea is my favorite.
Wonder how the world will be built? Powers? Locations?
Not unclear, but I would want a reason in the story on why dentists think they need to be tooth fairies.

What if Walls Could Talk?

Cool idea for the walls that could talk.
Interested in the genre of the story and how the concept contributes to a bigger story.

What If…

All cool, but I like the idea of the rain drops the most.
Very excited to see how that full world develops of rain drop racers.
What happens to the world when the rain is over or sun comes out?

What if...

I'm most intrigued by the dust bunny one as it feels the most unique?
I wonder on the tone of the movie. Are there words? Is the dust bunny personified or just a dust bunny?
Nothing unclear as just a teaser, but interested in where it goes.

HT What Ifs

What if your mirror reflection wasn't actually you.
Interested in the answer to that mystery.
Nothing unclear, but interested in how interaction is and what are the stakes or consequences of it being different. Why does it matter?

Week

Team member name here

what if we were our biggest fears favorite.
how does that look visually?
not unclear, but interested in if/how becoming your fear overcomes it.

Rick O’Meara What if teasers

What if you were given a picture of your true love at birth
Interested in where that story goes. What genre it is, as it could be a lot.
Nothing unclear, but it would be important to define through the story the importance of getting that information early in life, instead of just waiting. Also, is it definitive who your true love is?
