For this I tried to show my main character Carmen in her world. It's lonely. She's a beautiful parrot but on the inside feels gray. I tried do show this by muting the purple. She's caged emotionally and physically. The outside world around her is colorful or at least that's how she sees it. That's why there's color all over but it's splattered. The story has a hurricane so the colors definitely are symbolic to that. Like hurricane winds when I were growing up were terrifying. She's miss understood. Hurt. Abused. But she doesn't look gray. People see her light. She just had to break out of the cage. This isn't a perfect picture. It's literally a painting made over hours after layers dry. Also symbolic of the character. So many layers have gotten her to the point of the starts and the continued to add on till the end.
