She was a funny, bubbly girl who was quick on her toes and witty. That’s what made her stand out from the others.
But she had a strange obsession that no one else ever thought about
Everyday: Aspen would go to the edge of the balloon and long to explore the outside
One of her best friends and her family had went missing one day, just like that, and they were nowhere to be found in the balloon world
Aspen hoped she would be able to find them outside, in the world beyond the balloon. That’s why she kept trying to go out
Until one day: Aspen heard about someone in her own balloon world that knew how to pop the bubble
She immediately devises a way to escape from her boring Schola, balloon language for school
She successfully escapes from schola
Because of that: Aspen immediately rushes to the place rumored to house the person who knows how to pop the balloon
She knocks on the dirty door and waits for someone to open the door
1 minute goes by, then 2, then 10 before a creaking sound fills the silence as the door opens.

She explains her mission and the rumor that she heard. He says he couldn’t care less
After a long argument, she manages to persuade the Old Balloonian to talk with her about what he knows
Because of that: He tells her that she must pop a glass balloon that’s in the museum
She’s eager to get started before he tells her the twist. Popping the glass balloon will mean that the world is no longer safe from humans
Then, Aspen slowly realizes that everything comes at a price and she doesn’t know what to do
